FAQ

How do I know if my timestamp is in seconds or milliseconds?

Unix timestamps in seconds have 10 digits or fewer until the year 2286; 13-digit values are milliseconds. Leave the unit on "auto" and it is detected from the number of digits.

What timezone are the results in?

The ISO 8601 and UTC fields are always in UTC. Convert the UTC value in your own timezone-aware code if you need local time.

Can I convert a date back into a Unix timestamp?

Yes, paste any parseable date such as "2026-09-21" or "September 21, 2026" and it returns the equivalent Unix timestamp in seconds and milliseconds.
